Hopkinton assistant principal hired as principal of Henniker Community School

Jacob Morrill, the assistant principal of Hopkinton Middle High School, will be the new principal of Henniker Community School.
The appointment, effective July 1, was announced Thursday.
Morrill has been assistant principal at Hopkinton since 2022 where his district-wide initiatives include the development of the Portrait of a Hopkinton Learner, a collaborative process that engaged over 600 community members.
Previously, Morrill served as Dean of Teaching & Learning at Weare Middle and Center Woods Upper Elementary Schools. His 15-year career in education also includes experience as a Teacher Leader at John Stark Regional High School.
Morrill holds a certificate of advanced graduate studies in educational leadership from Southern New Hampshire University, a Master of Education from Plymouth State University and The Upper Valley Educator Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Virginia Tech.
The Henniker School Board approved Morrill’s appointment on March 5.
