Northwood man killed in motorcycle crash over the weekend 

A Northwood man, 77, was killed Saturday from injuries sustained during a collision involving his motorcycle and another vehicle, police said. 

At around 3 p.m. on Saturday, the Northwood Police Department responded to Route 4 in the vicinity of Blakes Hill Road for reports of a serious collision, police said. When they arrived, the operator of the motorcycle, Phillip Allen, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Police believe that a Ford Mustang traveling on Route 4 westbound crossed the centerline of the roadway and collided with Allen’s motorcycle. 

The operator of the vehicle, Howard Goodman, 67, of Concord, and his wife, Karen Goodman, were transported to Concord Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The Northwood Police Department was assisted by the Northwood Fire Department, the Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit and the New Hampshire State Police. 

The incident remains under investigation.
