Boys’ Hockey

Concord 5, Bow 0

Key players: Concord – Jack Gfroerer (goal), Tyler Morin (goal, assist), Jaden Haas (goal, 2 assists), Rowan Arndt (goal), Austin Proulx (goal), Cam Roy (2 assists), Michael Barry (2 assists), Carter Heise (shutout)

Highlights: Concord jumped out to 2-0 lead in first period on goals by Gfroerer and Morin. Arndt and Proulx scored in second to make it 4-0, and Haas closed out the scoring in the third.

Boys’ Alpine Skiing

Concord 1st

Key players: Concord – Lucas Golden (1st GS, 1st slalom), Eugene Conn (4th slalom, 10th GS), Austin Vanacore (15th slalom, 24th GS), Ethan Audet (26th slalom, 42nd GS)

Highlights: Golden won the morning giant slalom with a combined time of 45.67 seconds on his two runs (runner-up Josh Corbett of Windham finished in 46.74). Golden also won the afternoon slalom event with a combined time of 54.41 leading the Tide to the top of the standings in that event, which lifted Concord to the overall victory. Golden once again beat Corbett (56.97), the only other skier to finish in under 1:02. Wednesday’s race at Mount Sunapee was Concord’s final race of the regular season and the Tide’s 692 points led the field of 12 teams. Dover (683) and Londonderry (668.5) were second and third. The Tide boys will compete in the Division I championship on Monday at Pats Peak.

Girls’ Alpine Skiing

Concord 1st

Key players: Concord – Mika Taylor (1st slalom, 2nd GS), Ellie Worster (1st GS), Lilly Merrill (6th slalom, 11th GS), Emma Pelletier (9th GS, 10th slalom), Sadie Pelletier (15th slalom)

Highlights: The Crimson Tide wrapped up the regular season by winning a 12-team race at Mount Sunapee on Wednesday. Taylor won the slalom in 59.24 seconds, the only skier to break 60 seconds in the event, while Worster won the giant slalom (47.10 seconds) and Taylor (49.10) finished second. The Tide scored 753 points, with Bishop Guertin (747.5) and Dover (673) finishing second and third. Concord will compete in the Division I championship on Tuesday at Pats Peak.

Mika and Ellie continue to find the podium in each race, but at today’s race Emma Pelletier and Lilly Merrill placed in the top 10. Sadie Pelletier, Charlotte Dill and Sophie Linden had their best performances of the year. Boys’ Nordic Skiing

Concord 3rd, Hopkinton 4th, Bow 10th, Bishop Brady 12th

Key players: Concord – Dean Ayotte (1st, 9:06), Sebastian Christie (6th, 10:17), Benjamin Poole (16th), Luke Hennessy (22nd), Connor Crotty (28th); Hopkinton – Andrew Clarner (5th, 10:04), Max Goupil (20th), Miles Van Hoff (26th), Isaac Ohl (29th); Bow – Jack Kohl (38th), Gabe Abberton (65th), Garrett Abberton (72nd); Bishop Brady – Earl Mitchell (59th)

Highlights: Ayotte won the classic race at Waterville Valley on Tuesday, topping a field of 73 skiers, leading the Tide to third place. Keene went 2-3-4 to win the 12-team event with 387 points, followed by Lebanon (361), Concord (360), Hopkinton (335), Bedford (331) and Winnacunnet (318). Bow (192) and Bishop Brady (66) also competed. Senior Crotty had an especially good day for Concord.

Girls’ Nordic Skiing

Key players: Hopkinton – Florence Dapice (4th, 11:15), Amelia (5th, 11:26), Evelyn Hopper (7th, 11:33), Reese Bove (8th, 11:45); Concord  – France Lesser (3rd, 11:10), Mahalie Burdette (9th, 11:54), Phoebe Dater-Roberts (17th), Bella Komorek (18th), Lila Doherty (32nd); Bow – Ashe McKeen (53rd), Olivia Rodger (54th), Makaylie Laws (59th), Grace DeCosta (67th); Bishop Brady – Avery Sahr (57th); Winnacunnet – Skyla Mace (1st, 10:38)

Highlights: The Hawks won a 12-team classic race at Waterville Valley on Tuesday. Hopkinton (380), Lebanon (367), Concord (361), Keene (351) and Winnacunnet (326) were the top five team scores. Bow (273) and Bishop Brady (69) were the other area teams that competed. Concord seniors Doherty, Lesser, Dater-Roberts skied especially well, while Vivian Wierwille came in second in the middle school race.

Boys’ Basketball

Coe-Brown 57, John Stark 51

Highlights: The Generals held an eight-point lead at the half, but couldn’t hold on as Coe-Brown took control in the third quarter.

Highlights: Stark led 28-27 at halftime, but the Bears held the Generals to just three points in the third quarter and pulled away for the win.

Highlights: Kearsarge led 22-4 after the first quarter and 48-7 at halftime to win back-to-back games for the first time since early January.
