The Jewish Federation of New Hampshire will hold a “Memory and Hope” gathering at the State House this evening at 6 p.m. in remembrance of Oct. 7, 2023, the one-year anniversary. The event is meant to bring people together to “remember and rise in hope,” according to its website.

Today is the one-year anniversary of the deadliest attack in Israel’s history, when 1,200 people died as a result of the Hamas-led raid. The war in Gaza, the latest manifestation of a decades-long conflict between Israel and Palestine, continues. Israel’s attacks on Gaza in the past year have killed more than 41,500 Palestinians.
