A Concord man has been charged with attempted murder and seven other felonies related to a January shooting in Healey Park.

Vincent Mott, 33, was arrested Tuesday and faces multiple assault and weapon charges as well as attempted murder after police say he shot another man in the head in mid-January. That person, after living with life-threatening injuries for multiple days, was located by investigators and transported to Concord Hospital, according to Concord Police. The department did not immediately respond to a request for more information Friday, but a press release announcing the arrest noted that the victim participated in interviews with investigators.

Mott was arrested on January 17 for outstanding warrants after being identified as a person of interest in the shooting and has been held at the county jail since. He waived arraignment on the eight new charges on Friday.
