Boscawen’s Patrick Sadlemire, on the ballot for a three-year seat on the Merrimack Valley School Board, announced on Tuesday that he was dropping out of the race.
He cited “time constraints and a change in personal circumstances” in a post on Facebook.
His departure from the race leaves Stacie Jarvis as the sole candidate running for Boscawen’s three-year term.
“I’m sure the opposing candidate Stacie Jarvis will do a fine job in this position,” Sadlemire wrote.
There are still two contested school board races: Boscawen’s Tom Laliberte faces off against Gary Tillman for a one-year seat and Salisbury’s Louise Andrus and Lorna Carlisle compete for a three-year seat.
Residents from all five communities in the Merrimack Valley School District may cast there votes in each race.
Check out the Monitor’s candidates preview.
Polls are open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Merrimack Valley High School.
