Highlights: Just before the half the Tide were able to get on the scoreboard on a long throw from Goulas to Vaillant and Dickson buried it for a 1-0 lead against last year’s runner-up Blue Hawks.

Coe-Brown 1, Oyster River 0

Key players: Coe-Brown – Sammy Perron (goal), Lily Wolf (assist), Sadie Scruton (7 saves), Jennifer Noni, Sammy Ball, Kylie Prusia,  Somer Loto, Jadyn Spearin 

Highlights: Perron scored off a corner to lift the Bears to a victory over their rival Bobcats. Coe-Brown has now won seven in a row and unbeaten in 12 matches.

Coach’s quote:  “It was a physical game and a chess match all game adjusting to the Oyster River attack. The defense made plays when they needed to make plays. Highlights: Gray opened the scoring with a beautiful shot from outside the box which dipped right under the bar.

Coach’s quote:  “The game started out a bit disorganized for us. It took 15 minutes to start connecting passes. Once we did, the chances in the attacking third just kept coming. … Our build into the attacking third looked fantastic. We kept our shape even when we moved people around a bit. Kearsarge 2, Mascoma 1

Key players: Kearsarge – Carly Grant (goal), Ann Dudley (goal), Ellie Wimer (assist), Ava Shapiro (assist), Adara Boucher (9 saves); Mascoma – Molly Gray (goal)

Highlights:   Grant opened the scoring in the 33rd minute to give Kearsarge a 1-0 lead at halftime. Mascoma came out strong in the second, scoring eight minutes in when Gray caught Kearsarge sleeping and scored off a corner. After battling for the next 30 minutes, the Cougars finally pulled ahead as Dudley scored in the final minute off a pass from Wimer. Kearsarge has won four straight.

Highlights:  Hughes scored an unassisted goal in the 20th minute and added another in the 66th when he received a pass from D’Agostino and beat two defenders.

Coach’s quote:  “We felt pretty good coming into the game with a good defensive performance against Hollis. Today, our guys put a strong overall effort throughout the night and almost found the equalizer in the waning moments. In the end, it wasn’t enough. We showed some spurts of connecting passes and looked effective, and even dangerous. But we also were hampered by our old bad habits of ineffective individual defending and too many touches on the ball which slows momentum and reduces our options. Highlights:  The Hillcats scored three goals in the first half  and dominated possession to earn their second clean sheet of the season.

Key players: MV – Lauren Bailey (midfield), Kaiya Mercier (midfield), Hannah Butler (offense), Grace Thompson (offense), Caroline Wheeler (solid defense) 

Highlights:  Much of the match play occurred in the middle third of the field, and MV had a 5-2 advantage in penalty corners, but Kennett scored off a deflection on the weak side post off a cross four minutes into the game.

Coach’s quote:  “Today was a tough loss against a talented Kennett team. We dug ourselves into a hole early and couldn’t climb out. Highlights: The Bears were aggressive from the service line, defeating Laconia, 25-21, 25-9, 25-18.
