The Children’s Theatre Project at The Community Players of Concord, NH provides a place for children (and adults) to create lasting friendships, develop their talent, and become part of a welcoming community. Watch these children as they present the timeless classic “Charlotte’s Web” adapted by Joseph Robinette on October 18th and 19th, 2024 at the Concord City Auditorium.

Celebrating the 29th season of theatre for and by young people, the Children’s Theatre Project is pleased to present E.B. White’s classic tale of love and friendship, Charlotte’s Web, sponsored by Texas Roadhouse. Brought to life on stage by 42 young actors ages 6 to 16 years old, the show will be performed live at The Concord City Auditorium (The Audi) on Friday, October 18th at 7:00 pm or Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 pm and tickets will be on sale on our website at CommunityPlayersofConcord.org or at the box office 90 minutes before each show.

Spend a delightful time with the pig, Wilbur (Zoey Jordan), and his barnyard friends Goose (Norah Buote), Gander (Simon Hutchins), Sheep (Samantha Devine), and Lamb (Emmett Smith), along with Templeton, the rat (Lillian Gleaton), Fern Arable, Wilbur’s human friend (Hazel Curren), and especially the beloved spider, Charlotte (Sawyer Cochrane) — “a true friend and a good writer” – who saves Wilbur’s life.

Produced by Jen Ackerman, Beck Bryson, and Ron Bryson, and directed by Karen Braz, Charlotte’s Web is sure to please audiences of all ages and will feature beautiful authentic costumes, creative sets and a heartwarming rendition of everyone’s favorite classic children’s book.

The Children’s Theatre Project is an opportunity for young people interested in theatre to get experience in the many aspects of this art form. Most of the young people who come to us at auditions, or for theatre camp and workshops, want to be on stage, acting, singing and dancing! And there are certainly many opportunities to do all that, but we also offer the chance to be a part of creating a show from its beginning all the way to closing night. We have youth stage managers and assistant stage managers, backstage grips and spotlight operators; young thespians can also work on set building and painting, makeup, props and art design for posters and programs.
