Highlights: Concord moved into a tie atop the D-I standings with Pinkerton with one game left in the regular season. Moreira broke the scoreless pitchers’ duel in the fifth, leading off with a double before scoring on a passed ball. She scored again in the seventh for insurance. Wachter fired her fourth shutout in the last five games and the Tide’s ninth of the season.

Highlights: Concord tied the game, 1-1, in the bottom of the first on an RBI single by McDonough. Pinkerton went up 4-1 in the top of the fifth, but the Tide got one back in the bottom of the inning on an Astros error. Pinkerton led 6-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh, and Concord only managed one run (on a bases-loaded walk) before the Astros closed out the victory.

Highlights: The Generals stranded seven runners in the first three innings but finally broke through in the fourth on Paolicelli’s three-run homer to deep right, his third straight game with a home run. The Bobcats got one run back, but Stark added two more in the seventh to take the win.

Highlights: The Pride jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning, and Keary did the rest. Seth Norris’ diving play at third base in the sixth inning preserved the one-run lead, and Weed closed the door in the seventh.

Highlights: Hopkinton tallied two runs in the top of the second inning to narrow Conant’s lead to 6-2, but the Orioles plated five runs in bottom of the second inning to extend their lead to 11-2.

Coach’s quote: “We were getting runners on base. We just had trouble finding that timely hit, as we left seven runners stranded. For example, Hawks had runners on first and second in the top of the fifth to try to extend the game when (Tad) Stokes stroked a laser line drive to left field that was caught to end the game. With that said, outside of a couple baserunning mistakes, we attacked Conant’s pitcher quite well and had a good approach at the plate, totaling five hits, four walks and a HBP, which was great to see.” – Hopkinton’s Kevin Hill

Highlights: Bishop Brady jumped on top in the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Bedard and a sacrifice fly from Shedd. Brady upped the lead to 3-0 on a long solo home run by Thornton in the top of the second. The Hilltoppers got one back in their half of the second inning, but Brady pushed the lead to 4-1 on an RBI single from Thomas in the fourth. Thornton made that hold up, only allowing one run in the bottom of the sixth and shutting the door in the seventh.

Highlights: The Giants entered Saturday’s game trailing 3-0 through half an inning after last Thursday’s game was suspended due to weather, but they tied the game in the bottom of the first (thanks to a two-run single by Luke Bedard). Brady scored three runs in the second, two in the third and broke the game open with seven runs in the fourth. Freshman Sheppard kept the Laker bats quiet in just his second start of the season, allowing the Giants to win via the 10-run rule.
