Boys’ Basketball

Concord Christian 60, Franklin 44

Key players: Concord Christian – Luke Farland (19 points), TJ Charbono (13 points), Jaden Young (12 points), Isaac Kirby (8 points); Franklin – Nate Holmes (26 points)

Highlights: The Kingsmen jumped out to a 30-16 halftime lead before the Tornadoes fought back thanks to 19 second-half points from Holmes, but Kirby and Young scored six points each in the fourth quarter to keep CCA on top.

Coach’s quote: “Hats off to Franklin for not giving up. They came out in the second half a different team. Kirby and Young, two of our seniors, really stepped up in the fourth for us.” – Concord Christian’s Greg Farland

Merrimack 75, Concord 60

Key players: Merrimack – Ryan Elliott 23 points; Concord – JD Nkurunziza (18 points), Thomas Saysaw (11 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks), Holden Martin (8 points)

Highlights: Merrimack jumped out to an early lead, but Concord stormed back. Merrimack went on a run in the first four minutes of the third quarter to build a lead that was too big for Concord to overcome, despite regrouping and fighting back.

Highlights: Coe-Brown trailed 21-7 early and came back to take a one-point lead, only to fall short in the last minute.

Key players: John Stark – Aiden Harris (20 points, 8 rebounds), Cedar Beaupre (10 points)

Highlights: Hollis-Brookline had a seven-point halftime lead but broke it open in the first four minutes of the second half.

Girls’ Basketball

Coe-Brown 50, Hanover 36

Key players: Coe-Brown – Emma Lapierre, Jennifer Noni, Hannah Meehan

Highlights: CBNA took control from the opening tip, hitting four 3-pointers to grab a 14-5 lead in the first quarter. The Bears extended their lead to 29-10 at halftime and never looked back.

Hollis-Brookline 56
John Stark 42

Highlights: The Generals had a rough first half, scoring only 12 points, but they hit their stride in the second half to play the Cavaliers even in a losing effort.

Highlights: The Raiders led by five points after the first quarter and broke the game open with a 22-9 second quarter.
