Boys’ Basketball

Belmont 50, St. Thomas 48

Key players: Belmont – Keegan Martinez (19 points), Anakin Underhill (17 points), Treshawn Ray (14 points)

Highlights: Underhill scored the game-winning bucket with 20 seconds left in the game. After Belmont took a narrow 25-21 lead at halftime, St. Thomas exploded for 20 points in the third quarter to lead 41-32 heading into the final frame, but the Raiders outscored the Saints 18-7 in the fourth.

Records: Belmont 8-1; St. Thomas 6-2

Raymond 60, Hopkinton 48

Key players: Raymond – Dre Duffaut (22 points), Aiden York (17 points); Hopkinton – Ben Normand (12 points), Nick Goddard (6 points)

Key players: Concord Christian – Isaac Kirby (15 points), Jaden Young (13 points), Luke Farland (12 points), TJ Charbono (12 points), Jack Owens (3 points)

Highlights: The Kingsmen led 16-10 after the first quarter, but the Vikings hit four 3s in the second quarter to cut CCA’s lead to 28-25 at halftime. The Kingsmen picked up the effort on the defensive end in the third quarter, outscoring Mascenic 16-8 to build a lead heading into the fourth.

Key players: Hopkinton – Shaylee Murdough (12 points, 6 assists, 5 steals), Sydney Westover (11 points), Paige Boudette (10 points), Helen Yeaton (6 points); Raymond – Meadow Mitchell (15 points)

Highlights: The Hawks opened up a 31-16 halftime lead and used a strong defensive third quarter to take a 47-19 lead entering the fourth as Hopkinton won its seventh straight game.

Girls’ Alpine Skiing

Concord 2nd, John Stark 10th

Key players: Concord – Mika Taylor (1st), Emma Pelletier (5th), Lilly Merrill (10th), Sadie Pelletier (22nd); John Stark – Sophie Gray (32nd)

Highlights: Taylor won the 12-team slalom race at Pats Peak with a combined time of 56.17 seconds between the two runs, nearly a second and a half faster than runner-up Andie Nugent of Bedford, leading Concord to second place. Bedford (384 points), Concord (368) and Dover (354) were the top three team scores. Stark finished with 76.

Boys’ Alpine Skiing

Concord 1oth, John Stark 11th

Key players: Concord – Lucas Golden (1st), Austin Vanacore (14th), Ethan Audet (33rd); John Stark – Austin Freeman (4th), Sam Robinson (34th), Ronnie Martin (39th)

Highlights: Golden won the 12-team race at Pats Peak, finishing with a combined time of 52.64 seconds from two slalom runs, leading the Tide to 10th as a team. Runner-up Tyler Holbrook from Bedford clocked a 55.10 and Freeman finished fourth in 56.46. Bedford (379 points), Dover (351) and Winnacunnet (339) were the top three teams, while Concord scored 258 and John Stark scored 232.
