For the second time in two weeks, the date for the annual Black Ice Pond Hockey championship has been pushed back. 

The annual event will now be headed indoors at Tri-Town Arena in Hooksett from March 22 through the 24.

Initially scheduled to be held outdoors at White Park from Jan. 26 to 28, the organization had pushed the date back to Feb. 9 to 11 to keep open the possibility of holding it outside after being forced indoors last year. With an extended forecast of several days above freezing in the next two weeks, the ice will not be usable outside.

However, the event will still be able to accommodate all registered teams and keep its schedule roughly the same. When the tournament pivoted indoors last year to Everett Arena, only 55 of the 80 teams were able to play. Because Tri-Town Arena has two sheets of ice, all teams will be able to participate this year.
