Inaugural Community Arts Festival

What: Castle in the Clouds is hosting its first-ever Community Arts Festival. Presented in partnership with the Lakes Region Art Association, this exciting new event will feature booths with dozens of crafters, artists, and community organizations, various art demonstrations and performances, a scavenger hunt, art activities for kids, and more! The Community Arts Festival will be free for the public to attend. Castle in the Clouds invites crafters, artists, community organizations, and other interested parties to apply for an event booth space. Art demonstrations and performances will be scheduled throughout the event. All crafters, craft circles and guilds, musicians and music groups, dance studios, martial arts studios, theater groups, and artists of all kinds are invited to apply for a 30-minute or one-hour time slot. Selected applicants will also receive a free booth space.

When: Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The rain date for the event will be Sunday, June 11.

Where: Castle in the Clouds, Route 171, 455 Old Mountain Road, in Moultonborough

Henniker Summer Concert Season

What:A variety of performers along with several special events await you on Tuesday nights. The line-up includes a Grateful Dead Tribute Band celebrating Jerry Garcia’s August 1st birthday, the return of the Blues, Brews & BBQs Fest featuring two great bands and theHenniker Brewery July 18th, raffles and a spotlight on some up-and- coming bands as well as returning favorites.

When: Tuesday nights beginning June 13th and continuing for 12-weeks starting at 6:30 p.m.

Where:Angela Robinson Bandstand, Community Park, Main St., in Henniker.

What: Summer Music Associates Celebrates its 50 th Season! Summer Music Associates celebrates its 50 th year of bringing exceptional musicians to the Lake Sunapee Region. This summer’s concerts will be outstanding.  On Saturday, June 10 at the Sawyer Center at Colby-Sawyer College, the 75-piece Boston Civic Symphony returns with violinist Kaila Wakao.  The orchestra will present Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, known as The Pastoral; Jean Sibelius’ Finlandia, and Ernest Chausson’s Poeme for Violin and Orchestra featuring violinist Kaila Wakao. Ms. Wakao is the first prize winner of the 2021 Menuhin International Violin Competition and the first prize winner of the 2021 Stulburg International String Competition.
