The brother of the former Loudon Police chief has been indicted on felony sexual assault charges involving a child.

William Fiske, 69, of Loudon, who is the brother of former Loudon Police Chief Robert Fiske, is accused of sexually assaulting a minor between 2007 and 2009, according to court documents. At the time, the victim was between the ages of 13 and 15.

On July 6, a grand jury found probable cause to charge Fiske with two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault without consent, felonious sexual assault on a victim aged 13 t0 15 and felonious sexual assault, all felonies. He will be arraigned on August 25 at the Merrimack County Superior Court.

The victim was a foster child and was placed in Fiske’s care, she said in an interview with the Monitor. Fiske allegedly sexually assaulted her for years while she remained under his guardianship.

Robert Fiske retired as police chief in 2015 after working 44 years in law enforcement.

The investigation is being led by the New Hampshire State Police due to a conflict of interest with the Loudon Police Department.
